As we are so close to Thanksgiving and Christmas, we have been competing with other companies trying to deliver their products before the holidays on factory labor and machine resources. We’ve been having touchpoints with the factory almost daily to try to push our production forward (we nag as polite as we can...).
A couple of things to update this week.
Below are the packaging samples printed out last week. Mass production for packaging is going to finish soon. If you remember our previous packaging design iteration, we have come a long way.
When we ship out your product, (hopefully will happen within 3 weeks), you will receive the package via USPS if you live in the U.S. If you live outside of the U.S., your package will first be sent out from the US to your country via USPS. Then your package will be delivered to you via your local post services. You’ll receive an email notification with a tracking number when your package hits the USPS mail stream.
However, please note that even though all of your packages will have a tracking number, if you reside outside of the US, your tracking number may only track whether the package has been delivered to your country. You may not see the portion when it’s being delivered via your local postal service. We will confirm this with you all when the time comes closer.
We shipped out the final functional units from our factory to our third-party testing lab last week. They have already started the verification process yesterday. They will inform us if anything needs to be changed to obtain FCC, CE, and ROHS certifications. We will update you if we hear anything.

Product Samples Sent to Testing Lab
Two units of the product samples and three batteries have been sent to a testing lab this week. We will keep you posted on the results. We want to quickly share some images of the new samples. Moreover, we are ramping up the production as planned.

Hope you had a great weekend!
We are about three weeks away from finishing up manufacturing. Our team has already started preparing for the fulfillment process. We have close to 1300 backers across the platforms. Each backer has a different set of products we need to pack based on the color of the power bank you chose and the add-on products you purchased. We will be printing out a pack list for each backer and carefully follow it to avoid making any mistakes.

Hope you had a great weekend! As we promised, we'll keep doing mini weekly updates until we ship out our products to all of the backers.
Today we are giving you a quick update on the product and some background info for those of you who are entrepreneurial and are curious about the evolution of the marketing aspect of our project.
After quoting with 4 third-party testing labs for FCC, CE, ROHS certifications, we decided on a testing lab referred and used by one of our entrepreneur friends.
FCC -SDOC, CE - EMC & LVD, ROHS testing will be done within 7 business days once we send the final functional production unit to them. We’ll keep you posted on the testing result. If there is anything needed to change in order to get FCC, CE and ROHS certification, we’ll do it with our factory in a timely manner.
Many backers have reached out to add the new innovative 65W GaN charger to their add-on product list. Since we are getting many requests for more info, we are including a pdf page here with more details. We are offering them $39 USD to our existing backers. When we first created the product, we had a vision of building a company creating products with innovative technologies yet simple and minimalist designs. We focus on the functionality and quality with designs stripped to its essence.
When we think about the product that will be delivered to your hand, the quality and the functionality of the product are obviously what's the most important to us, but we also want our packaging and logo to reflect our brand ideology. We redesigned our logo and created several evolutions of packaging until we decide on the final design.

We also created a simple user manual. It’s intended to help backers and future customers understand quickly how to use our Just Simple power bank. Since we are too close to our own product, there may be some obvious things we forget to include in the user manual. Therefore, we are super open to your feedback.
Thank you guys for believing in us. We have been under a lot of stress and pressure because of the long delay and lack of cash. The pandemic situation definitely impacted our anticipated cash flow this year. We had to take loans to keep the production going. Nevertheless, we are still moving forward.
We really appreciate some very kind messages from you guys showing your understanding. It gives us the energy and spirit to fight all the hardships along the way.

Dear Backers,
I imagine you have been waiting anxiously as we are still working as hard as we can to tie the ends.
We, unfortunately, missed our October ship date due to several hiccups with material testing, but we are trying our best to speed up production. We will be posting a weekly update going forward till we ship.
Material Testing
Please allow me to explain what I meant by material testing. Our last stage of the production process, in simple terms, includes sourcing components/material from different suppliers for the 2000 units of power banks we are producing, testing all the components we received, assembling all the parts to individual power banks, and packaging.
For products like ours, the majority of the time is spent on material testing while the assembly process takes only a few days. Verifying & testing components are the most critical part of the production process to avoid creating defect products. We have received 2000 units of batteries and all the other critical electronic components from our suppliers. We have been testing the batteries, the PCB boards, measuring the stats and accuracy when the components work together, and etc. Because we had our batteries custom made, there were more back and forth of testing and adjusting between the battery supplier and our factory than we expected. This will likely keep going for a couple more weeks. We are going to send you another update next week for a new update.
In the meantime, I will be reaching out to some of the backers.

Old Model
The partner who created the power adapter above invented a more powerful 65W adapter and obsoleted the old one. Not only does this newer version have a higher wattage (increased from 45W to 65W), it is also more compact. More importantly, it uses a very efficient and trendy material GaN material that has created all the buzz lately. We are going to replace the older version with the new one at the same price. I will reach out and provide more information to the backers who backed this add-on product.
